Comprehensive psychiatric, neuropsychological, and behavioral assessments. The first step in treating any illness is to assess and understand the presenting symptoms. Through an array of Psychiatric, Neuropsychological, and behavioral evaluations and assessments our team of experts will identify clinical findings such as personality disorders, learning disabilities, mood disorders and chemical imbalances. Testing is the crucial instrument in developing a highly individualized treatment curriculum for the patient.
Medication
Use of psychotropic medication functions as an adjunct to psychotherapy in various stages of the patient’s treatment episode. Our medical team meets with the patients daily to develop, adjust, or continue a pharmacological protocol which suits specific medical needs.
Brain mapping and Neurofeedback
QEEG (or electroencephalogram) is a recording of brainwave activity. Popularly known as brain mapping, QEEG refers to a comprehensive analysis of brainwave frequency bandwidths that make up the raw electroencephalogram. The primary use of QEEG is to examine patterns of brainwaves and help determine whether a person is an appropriate candidate for Neurofeedback, a treatment that normalizes brainwaves. Patients are then treated with STIM sessions to stabilize brain waves, easing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other chemical imbalances.
